Career & Technical Student Organizations

Career & Technical Student Organizations

Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) allow students the opportunity to engage in extra-curricular activities that enhance classroom learning and reinforce skills mastery.  This is usually accomplished through local chapter projects, community service projects, local, state, and national competitions and state and national conferences.

The Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) is proud to have several student organizations here on campus. Please see below for a description of each organization and if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the advisor listed for each group.

Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) - Business, Hospitality & Tourism

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. All CCIC students in the Business Services and Hospitality & Tourism pathways are eligible to join and are encouraged to fill out an application. Members practice professional skills, real-world role play scenarios, engage in community service, and have the opportunity to compete at the district, state, and national competitions for DECA. The Hospitality Management program is partnered with the CCIC's Business Services Pathway for DECA experiences. For questions or concerns, please contact the CCIC DECA Advisor.

Future Health Professionals (HOSA) - Health & Wellness

HOSA - Future Health Professionals is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of the Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE).  HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

All students in the Health & Wellness pathway are eligible to join and are encouraged to fill out an application. For questions or concerns, please contact the CCIC HOSA Advisor.

Hospitality & Tourism Innovators (H&T Innovators) - Hospitality & Tourism

Designed for ProStart 1/2 and ProStart 3 Culinary Arts students, H&T Innovators provides opportunities to grow as leaders in foodservice and hospitality. Members gain experience planning our pathway social and community service events, have the opportunity to compete in events like ProStart and the One Plate Challenge, and connect with industry mentors. All CCIC Hospitality & Tourism students are eligible and encouraged to join the CTSO that aligns with their program area. For questions or details about membership, please contact Audra Dunleavy.
