English, Math & Science
Some courses at the CCIC offer English, Science and Math credits. CCIC core content is integrated within our pathway curriculum and meets district core standards requirements for graduation. All CCIC core classes are NCAA approved.
English Core Credits:
English skills in each pathway will encourage students to communicate professionally and proficiently and develop skills in public speaking. Students will also gain confidence in writing and researching as it pertains to their Pathway and future career.
With this model, students will not only be on the road to success, but they will also see first-hand how English is used within their industry! Content in these courses is designed to provide learners with real-world skills, context, and industry terminology to succeed in today’s workplace.

Math Core Credits:
Developing number sense and having an understanding of how Math is used in your profession is critical to your future success. Math not only enables us to effectively do our job, but also allows us to see trends in data, measure and create with high precision and accuracy, make predictions, and understand how things behave.
Possessing these Math skills will set CCIC students apart from their colleagues. Students will gain the confidence and necessary procedures to solve industry related math problems and will eventually become leaders in their field.

Science Core Credits:
The scientific approach teaches students how to critically evaluate current research, define measurable outcomes and work in an industry setting.
Building a strong foundation in science sets CCIC students up for success both in the workplace and higher education. Content in these courses is designed to provide learners with real-world skills, knowledge of industry terminology and an understanding of theory in each area.
