Congratulations, Jim Dosky! Our CCIC Construction Trades teacher won a national $100,000 prize as one of 5 grand prize winners of the 2026 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence!
The prize recognizes outstanding instruction in the skilled trades in U.S. public high schools and the valuable work of teachers who inspire students to learn a trade that prepares them for life after graduation.
Mr. Dosky is the third CCIC teacher to receive the Grand Prize for Teaching Excellence from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools.
CCIC now ranks among the nation's most-honored schools for this award, tied for the most winning teachers of any school in the country.
CCIC Principal Steve Day on Kelly Corrigan Wonders Podcast
What if a high school student could spend their day fixing a plane, machining a part destined for a rocket launch, or building a house that a family will actually live in? At the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC), that's just a Tuesday. In the ninth episode of the Wired to Create series, Principal Steve Day makes the case that when you stop underestimating teenagers and give them something real to do, everything changes — for the students, for the school, and for the families whose lives are transformed as a result.
Student Payments Moving to MySchoolBucks
Beginning March 23rd, student fees and purchases have moved to MySchoolBucks, the system already used for meal payments. Families can now manage meals and fees in one place.
